Authenticity: Do You Dare To Show Me The Real You?

Authenticity2

During the first few weeks of 2012, I’ve been doing a lot of phone calls with entrepreneurs and the same recurring themes come up over and over. These people are at the early stages of starting their own small business or self-employment. And they are fearful and uncertain.  That uncertainty is usually around what to offer the world and how best to do that.   “Will people want me and what I have to offer?” And so I ask them about themselves and discover what their life’s work has been about to date and attempt to excavate their natural gifts and talents which [...]

Going Virtual: My Last Three Books In The World

Beloved Books

I’m having a bit of a bookish day today. And I was down The Abundance Shed earlier and I got a bit clutter-cleary. In the bottom draw of the filing cabinet (shh) are a couple of valuables I want to shift on eBay on Friday so I made a note. Then I pulled the last armful of books I own in the whole entire world down off the shelf and laid them all out for the Oxfam repository in the Sainsbury’s car park later in the week. And there are three books I cannot bear to be parted from. Can [...]

Ho’oponopono: The Easiest Way for Wealth, Health, Peace and More

Zero Limits

I wrote a post last week about not doing what we know to do. And I thought I’d write some more today about Ho’oponopono for those who may not be familiar with it at all.   Thanks to Wikipedia for this definition: Ho’oponopono (ho-o-pono-pono) is an ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness. Similar forgiveness practices were performed on islands throughout the South Pacific, including Samoa, Tahiti and New Zealand. Traditionally Ho’oponopono is practiced by healing priests or kahuna lapaʻau among family members of a person who is physically ill. Modern versions are performed within the family by a family elder, or by the [...]

Enjoying My Sun, My Moon and My Stars with Sally Kirkman

Sally Kirkman Astrologer

I’ve never had a proper astrological reading before, have you? Not until yesterday at least when I booked a session with media astrologer, Sally Kirkman. Sally is a member of my Money-Making Magic Club and as we have been emailing one another for a while, I thought it was time to take a closer inspection of Sally at work.   What a revelation! Firstly as you will see from her photo, Sally likes a ski-ing holiday. This was rather amusing when we Skyped one another ‘cos there’s me in my swimsuit liking hot places and Sally in her ski-ing gear loving to chill; [...]

Clarity and Precision Speed Manifestation

The World

My January is beginning to hum along quite nicely now. How’s yours? It’s the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs and the The Oscars and these award ceremonies are exciting and glamorous. They also allow me to feel relief that my own work isn’t rewarded – or my hopes for a win dashed – quite so publicly. Still, it’s good training isn’t it, just to watch the disappointed display grace? It’s good to be nominated, it’s great to win. I did have a couple of wins last week myself and a couple of pieces of fabulous feedback, which I’m deciding are quite like my own [...]

How To Tell Someone You Love Them In Three Little Words

Feedback

When I was going through my first career change from accountant to coach, my elders encouraged me to ask ten people who knew me really well to send me a description of myself in three words. The name of the game here is to help you come to know your authentic self as it is appreciated by those around you, so that you can market to those strengths. One of my favourites at the time, from someone who had known me as a friend for at least two decades, was razor sharp and blunt. Witty, well written and spot on. [...]

Synchroncity: It’s A Sign

The Help

My experience when coaching people is that magic happens once we nail our colours to the mast and say out loud to ourselves and to The Universe what we want.   Lots of lovely little synchronicities – and sometimes quite big ones too – start to come together and even the tiniest little thing can be A Sign. I received one such sign myself yesterday. We went to see The Help. Don’t miss it. I cried like a leaky bucket all the way through. Delicious. Actually I started crying in the trailer for Spielberg’s version of War Horse even before we got going [...]
