It seems I am becoming a Social Entrepreneur. As the journey is becoming somewhat fascinating as it unfolds, I have decided to blog it so as to keep a record. Gentle Readers, you know me, I regularly make such pronouncements without much follow through. However, let’s see what develops. Travel with me, if you will? This story goes way back to Friday 30th November 2009, the night I had dinner with President Bill Clinton. There were just 900 of us in the room at the Hilton on Park Lane, but it felt glamorous and we were very close to him; [...]
Caribbean Christmas 29: These I Have Loved
Getting up every morning to sunshine, the sheer reliability of it. My swimfloat in our private pool, reading and sunning while keeping cool. Fantastic lobster, croissants, crayfish, barbecued and grilled meat from Argentina and Venezuela the like of which we never see in UK supermarkets. Cheap petrol. An automatic car again – hooray. Lots of sleep, opportunities to snooze and do nothing. My new laptop. Films and books and lots of time to enjoy them and lots more time besides to just look at the views of waving palm trees and water. Friendship and laughter, home-baked brownies and cookies. French food and [...]
Manifestation: Now I’m A Believer
I’ve been on all the courses, I’ve tapped (EFT) with the best IMHO – Ms Ann Ross. She taught me and my crew how to apply it to health, wealth and happiness. And it works. Amongst our number were those (well, Janet Swift) who appeared to be able to do it effortlessly, whereas I always “needed” my success to come at the expense of some really, really hard work. Now, don’t get me wrong, our Janet is far from a slacker, au contraire. But she made manifestation look easy and I have been modelling myself on her easy manifestation successes [...]
Another Overdue Rampage of Appreciation
Due to being a bit under the weather, I had to cancel my plans for today and stay at home. Once I worked out the upside of that, I realised I had – oh joy of joys – a completely free day on my hands. Which meant I could tidy the office, go shopping, do the filing, the washing, the accounts and my expenses, catch up with The Archers for 10 episodes, Twitter a lot, rack up another handful of ticket sales for the upcoming Property Day, plan a teleseminar for this morning, get the place cleaned, interact big time [...]
It’s Only Money – Credit Crunch (1)
Speaking as a survivor of the last recession (1987-1992 for me), I learned three things which I would like to share with my readers and clients, the first of which is It’s Only Money. It isn’t true to say that I can’t understand why people, largely men, kill themselves during great depressions, recessions and credit crunches. I can, just. I think. It’s the shame. I think perhaps they have forgotten that they are so much more than their job or their wealth. Perhaps they cannot face their families, their staff, their clients with their “failures”, some of which was always [...]
