Eight Ways To Be Nice To People

I found this lovely article in The Big Issue this week; it’s by Helena Drakakis.   I hope you enjoy it. Tell someone how good they look.   How many times do people recognise when you’ve made the effort? The answer probably is not that many. It’s great to receive a compliment, and it feels great to give one, too. Cook for someone. This is simple but effective. Invite a friend round and cook them a meal. You’ll save money on food and you’ll get brownie points for the personal touch. There’s nothing like a home-cooked meal, a bottle of wine […]

My 25 Things – A Reward for a Goal Milestone Achieved

Alison Grimston has put up something on the Money Gym which has piqued my interest.   What 25 things would I do if I had reached a goal milestone in my wealth creation journey?  I think this was intended as an interim goal place, not the whole hog you understand, but something to encourage and motivate us and an idea of how we will reward ourselves.   You can read Alison’s list here and here’s mine but first of all I have to decide what my interim goal is. I have created a significant income target for myself for 2009 from six different […]

Doing Something Different For A Change – Letting the Train Take the Strain!

I’m always reading that if you want a different result, you should do something different.   And that you shouldn’t become a creature of habit bogged down in always doing the same things the same ways. So I’ve taken a big bold decision and on Friday I’m going on a train.   Gentle Reader, I’m doing PUBLIC TRANSPORT! Now, I had a brief flirtation with buses about a year ago when I was between cars.   And I dont think I’ve been on a tube since we went to see Aida at Earls Court two or three boyfriends ago – 1989??? No, I tell a […]

Check the Performance of your Pensions and Investments

I received a phone call from an old friend and colleague last week.   He’s now part of an IFA which will check your pension policies and investments in such instruments as PEPs, ISAs, unit trusts, bonds and oiks (OEICS, not I dont know what they are either) for free.   It’s an independent free review. If your policies are doing great, they will tell you so and you can put the paperwork back in the file and relax. If they are not doing so great, they will give you some advice about what to do about it, that’s also free – they […]

The Highs and Lows of Hotel Life

I’ve been staying in a Hilton Hotel in Birmingham for two days for the Cartel half-yearly National Sales Conference.   In the lift, the hotel said it was “easy to find, difficult to leave”.   Half right.   It was easy to find, right by the NEC.   By Sunday morning I was quite keen to leave actually though ominously their sign did prove to be right, but not in the way they meant! The hotel was an odd mixture of good, bad and indifferent.  No mini-bar.   Have I missed something?   Have hotels just done away with these?   They are becoming almost extinct, can’t […]

Finding My MoJo Again… Albeit Slowly!

I’ve been slacking around the house these last couple of days, firing on about half my cylinders, but I find I am anyway being seduced in 2009.  I couldn’t make it out of bed before 9.30 on Monday, I didnt do anything on my brand new goal-orientated plan (up at 8, 9-10 spiritual self-care), and I didn’t amount to a hill of beans before lunchtime.   But I did talk to the three people my diary said I had promised to talk to, and I did do the Money Gym accounts to which I had set aside the whole day. Yesterday I […]

My Cheesy Friday Lock-in With Many Unexpected Gifts

I had to wait in for a Stilton.   All day.   Long story.   My annual contribution to Christmas at my brother’s house is a proper whole baby Stilton from Colston Bassett, the home of Stilton.   Usually I get it delivered to their house whether or not I am going but they are away on a pre-Xmas cruise in the Caribbean returning on 23rd.   Allowing for jetlag, that would have meant delivery on 24th at theirs so I thought “probably better to get it delivered to me this year” and today was the day. So I got up early in case the […]

Cutting Through The Fog With Precision, Clarity And Creativity

“WOW Judith, you have blown me away with your laser like penetration of the intricacies of my business and also my mind. What really impressed me was your ability to keep focused despite the plethora of variables of where I am and the challenges I face. The flexibility in your approach which evolved with each new piece of my puzzle as it rose to the surface as our conversation developed, I cannot believe the enormous amount of information you took in, in such a short space of time. No wonder you have such an awesome reputation to be able to […]

Unstoppable: A Coach In A Million

“Judith has this incredible knack of knowing when to be kind and gentle and go easy on you and when to be more direct and, well, stick a rocket up yer bum!  She allows me to feel motivated, excited, upbeat and unstoppable. As an entrepreneur, it can be hard to find a coach who understands that sometimes you just want a sounding board. Because Judith is herself a raging entrepreneur she is able to see this need so clearly, but after all the talk, she compels you to take action.  She’s a bit like a laser guided missile; through all the fluff and camouflage, […]

Creating A Dream Venture And Improving Life Beyond Recognition

“I cannot praise Judith Morgan highly enough. Her insights, support, suggestions and encouragement have helped me make some massive changes in my life over the past year. These include selling my previous (and far from passive) business, having three wonderful months off and then creating my dream online venture which combines my two passions of internet marketing and helping as many people as possible. I love Judith’s quirky way of looking at things; she has  helped shape my current project into what it is today and encouraged me to see a far bigger picture. Working with Judith is a joy and I […]
