S is Getting to Where She Needs to Be

S is a member of Club 100. “Thank you so much for the call, I feel like a big clump of hair has been removed from the drain! I wrote this as a testimonial in case you want to use it: During our call this week I had a lightbulb moment when you helped me to identify my ideal client. Since then, working on my content and offers has been like a hot knife through butter. It’s so easy now because I finally know who I am talking to. Thank you for talking me through it. In particular, it was […]

A Plan to Achieve Results

One of my clients has come up with her own genius plan for achieving the results she wants. I was struck by the simplicity of it as she wrote it down in this week’s check-in. I told her I would turn it into an anonymous blog post because I could see immediately that it would help other small biz owners trying to focus on the important stuff. Here it is (with my embellishments in brackets!): Set intentions that feel easily achievable Some of them (not all) may push you beyond your comfort zone (some stretch is good, all stretch is exhausting) […]

Amplifiers of Goodness

I writing to share with you some stories of clients being nice to one another. And not just nice for nice’s sake as women especially often seem programmed to be, but nice in genuine and wise ways from which I too learned. The first was in Club 100 where one beloved client asked us to review and critique the copy on a web page. I did and then so did another client and what broke out next was a mutual admiration exchange. What this helped me to realise was that for one human being to clearly state to another what […]

What’s Your Word?

Today I played a fun game with myself, remember like Teach used to let us do at the end of term at school? I ran through all my clients in both Club 100 and Small Business Big Magic and wrote down the first word which came to mind for each of them. Do you know that game Word Association Football, where you say one word and I say the first one which comes to mind with no logic and no explaining? Yeah, well it’s like that. I tried to make a word cloud out of these words but gave up. Best […]

Are You Ready?

A handful of the 1-2-1 clients I work with put their coaching on pause at one or more points during our relationship. They are not ready, or not ready now, to focus on our work together. Their reasons include illness, busyness in a way which precludes focus, personal reasons (births, marriages, deaths), or the work we are doing together is making things worse, not better, because they are not ready to make decisions, take the actions or slay the dragons. Not quite yet, anyway. They are psyching themselves up and busting tolerations and clearing the way. I encourage everyone else […]

Can You Monetise Your Life?

When I grew up and eventually worked out what I wanted from my life, I realised (slowly) that I am an entrepreneur and that I wanted to build a business. So I went out and did that and I loved it and I learned all of the things I help my clients with now. I did it first with twenty years in my own accounting business, then catering and travel, both somewhat shorter lived, then cleaning (ten years) and coaching (fifteen years and counting). I can take what I know now and apply it to any business, and so could you. […]

Not a Wimpy Coach

Another testimonial has flooded in, this time from Sam who is a long-time and loyal client in Club 100. “You are so kind, generous, and abundant.  Thank you for keeping the faith in me when I didn’t.  And thank you for continuing to hold it in a safe place for me to access when I need it.  I can’t tell you how much I appreciate having you as my coach. I feel truly blessed. The 30 Day Challenge helped me prove to myself that I could write, and it also brought you into my awareness.  I remember listening to the […]

Do You Need To Be Woo Woo To Be A Client?

A new client joined Small Business Big Magic last week and “confessed” to being not very woo woo. Clearly my being woo woo hadn’t put her off because she was a returning client and, although it has been some years since we’ve worked together, she’s kept an eye on me all that time so she’ll know I’m even more woo woo these days, not less. She said: “I don’t know what is in the air, but having had a terrible week last week, this week everything has clicked into place for me, so a great start to my membership. I’m […]

Lucky 13 for 2015

Is 13 your lucky number? Is today your lucky day? One of my happiest coaching and mentoring offerings each year is Lucky 13, and Lucky 13 for 2015 is no exception. “I’ve found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often.” Brian Tracy This is the third year I’ve offered my Lucky 13 which started in 2013; there seemed to be an obvious connection which inspired me to create it in the first place. What’s really interesting to me is how many people it brought into my life […]
