Tea for Two on Valentine’s Day

You can’t have missed the fact that Valentine’s day is just around the corner.   Now, I know it’s a bit corny and it certainly is over-commercialised but it’s still a special time for twos. Whether you’re just starting out (again) or a comfortable couple, there’s still an opportunity to make things special.   Are you going out for dinner? You’d better reserve a table today if you haven’t already!   You might prefer to cook a meal in – it will certainly save you money and can be much more fun.

Things I Wanted To Do In January But Haven’t And What I’m Going To Do About It

So much to do, so little time.   January has been dominated so far by meetings and travel.   Birmingham, Manchester, Earlsfield, Worthing, Hoxton, Rochester, and up to the West End and back three or four times.   Which has meant I havent got around to doing quite a lot of the things on my 2009 goals list, such as: Spiritual Self Care including new healthier life campaign including regularising sleep patterns.   Xmas has played havoc with that and I am not back to “normal” yet; in fact, I seem to have a new normal which has resulted in my moving my working […]

What Would Brendan Do?

My new role model for 2009 to help me achieve my goals is Brendan Cole.   You may remember I wrote before Xmas about how inspiring I had found his will to win and professionalism as displayed on Strictly Come Dancing.   He doesn’t let anything within his control get in the way of his own success.   And he knows how to manipulate the media too.   Bad Boy Brendan believes in hard work getting results, so do I.   A friend of his tells me he’s a jolly nice chap in real life too! Well I got a chance to put my Brendan plan into […]

My 25 Things – A Reward for a Goal Milestone Achieved

Alison Grimston has put up something on the Money Gym which has piqued my interest.   What 25 things would I do if I had reached a goal milestone in my wealth creation journey?  I think this was intended as an interim goal place, not the whole hog you understand, but something to encourage and motivate us and an idea of how we will reward ourselves.   You can read Alison’s list here and here’s mine but first of all I have to decide what my interim goal is. I have created a significant income target for myself for 2009 from six different […]

Finding My MoJo Again… Albeit Slowly!

I’ve been slacking around the house these last couple of days, firing on about half my cylinders, but I find I am anyway being seduced in 2009.  I couldn’t make it out of bed before 9.30 on Monday, I didnt do anything on my brand new goal-orientated plan (up at 8, 9-10 spiritual self-care), and I didn’t amount to a hill of beans before lunchtime.   But I did talk to the three people my diary said I had promised to talk to, and I did do the Money Gym accounts to which I had set aside the whole day. Yesterday I […]
