“I used to sit on the banks with a raft and watch the water roll lazily by. One day I pushed my raft into the shallows of the water and found the water moved swifter than I thought. My raft was actually a boat. Then, after some time, I rowed my little boat into deeper water. There were great storms, mighty winds, tremendous waves, and sometimes I felt so alone. But I have noticed my little rowboat is now a mighty ship manned by my friends and loved ones; and beautiful calm seas, warm sunny days, and nights filled with […]
If you follow my blog at all you’ll know that historically I’ve favoured Hard Work as my most effective way of achieving success and my goals. But that was then, and this is now. Here’s my thought for the day: What does Soulful Success mean to you? I have my own thoughts and ideas I am looking forward to sharing with my clients after a gap year of 18 months. Ever since I had a blinding flash about two years ago, when I realised that there are better ways to operate at work than slog, I’ve pulled back. Life is […]
Here’s today’s Thought For The Day: Everything is perfect, just exactly as it is If perhaps you are struggling today to see the perfection right now, ask yourself a favourite question borrowed from Marion Ryan – what’s the gift in this situation? It often shines a useful light enabling us to see things differently and draw something useful from the challenge.
Running through my head today is this thought for my clients: How could running my own small business be easier on me? And inherent in the question is easier on you, lighter perhaps, smarter, happier and better for your clients and for your bottom line. What thoughts come to mind, and how can I help?
Following on from today’s blog post, I feel inspired to ask: What’s your most recent best idea for your business and what are you going to do about it? Want to talk it through? Book yourself an Abundance call and pay for it from the results we co-create! If I add no value, our time together on Skype can even be free for you, although I hope not as that’s not the point – for either of us! What is the point then, Judith? It’s to reduce your risk to zero in deciding to connect with me, it’s abundant on […]
Lucy Kellaway, writing in the FT after the recent death of Helen Gurley Brown, the founder of Cosmopolitan magazine, quoted HGB as saying: “I would rather have a wisdom tooth pulled than go to a reception.” I agree with Lucy (and HGB) when she says “Hallelujah. If she felt this way, it lets us all off the hook”! Can’t abide networking either? I have some thoughts on alternatives which work better and I will share them with you here soon.
In the first of an occasional series, I am going to share some thoughts for the day, one at a time. Today’s is the first. Sometimes they will be a homily, sometimes a question, just something to get the creative juices and thought processes going. Here we go: Why am I working for myself? Forget the practical reasons for now, though there are many. What’s the main underlying reason you work for yourself and what sort of life do you want that to bring you? If you’ve got a few moments’ reverie today and can ask yourself this question and […]
