I Love My Life Too, Robbie

I am grateful to Rachel Elnaugh for much, and again today for drawing to my attention Robbie William’s latest song from his most recent album. You can tell it’s a Robbie song even before the lyrics start ai-love-my-life-robbie-williamss the intro is reminiscent of Feel.

I am by no means Robbie’s greatest fan, musically or in any other sense, though I am admiring of much of his output and certainly in awe of his songwriting abilities and his commercial talent and his gift for artistic collaboration with those who amplify his talent.

Oh, and my Mum liked him, fancied him too methinks.

I believe it is true to say that Angels is in the Top 10 of all-time most popular funeral songs  – quite a claim. It is also the song which features at #1 of the most loved and #1 of the least liked song, both at the same time – quite an achievement.

So, then. Robbie Williams is Marmite.

And now he’s released a song which I think will by my anthem for a little while. It’s called Love My Life. Here it is. Here’s why I like it this week especially. And here are the lyrics.

I am enjoying this song this week especially because it is week 2 of Jacqueline Rogers’ The Manifestation Game and our theme is VIBRATION. We’ve compiled a playlist on YouTube of the songs we love and which raise our vibration and as soon as I heard this it went straight onto my list because the chorus especially speaks to me, particularly in the context of vibration and being grateful for what I have right now.

How wonderful to be able to say – and mean it – I love my life!

And all those affirmations beginning with I AM – vital! I love the I AMs.

And just imagine being able to say – today – “and finally, I’m where I want to be”.

This is a keeper. Can’t wait to get out in the car and singalonga Robbie.

Robbie, thank you, I love my life too.

[Verse 1]
Tether your soul to me
I will never let go completely
One day your hands will be
Strong enough to hold me

[Pre-Chorus 1]
I might not be there for all your battles
But you’ll win them eventually
I’ll pray that I’m giving you all that matters
So one day you’ll say to me

[Chorus]
I love my life
I am powerful
I am beautiful
I am free
I love my life
I am wonderful
I am magical
I am me
I love my life

[Verse 2]
I am not my mistakes
And God knows I’ve made a few
I started to question the angels
And the answer they gave was you

[Pre-Chorus]
I cannot promise there won’t be sadness
I wish I could take it from you
But you’ll find the courage to face the madness
And sing it because it’s true

[Chorus]
I love my life
I am powerful
I am beautiful
I am free
I love my life
I am wonderful
I am magical
I am me
I love my life

[Bridge]
Find the others
With hearts
Like yours
Run far, run free
I’m with you

[Chorus]
I love my life
I am powerful
I am beautiful
I am free
I love my life
I am wonderful
I am magical
I am me
I love my life
I am powerful
I am beautiful
I am free
I love my life
I am wonderful
I am magical
I am me
I love my life

[Outro]
And finally
I’m where I wanna be
