Together with my former business partner from The Money Gym, Nicola Cairncross, we’ve created a regular weekly podcast which is called Own It! Your Business and Your Life. If you enjoy audio, give us a listen. New episodes are published every Friday. You might also join our Facebook Group where we debate matters arising from each episode, and/or Like our Facebook Page where we publish each episode as it goes live each week. You can also subscribe at iTunes.
In episode 67 we talk about what to do when your reputation is sullied either online or off, when someone mis-represents you or your business or blackens your good name. What can you do, if anything, to put right such wrongs and manage your own reputation? We assume you want to avoid the hassle and expense of a lawsuit and share some tips about riding above such unfairnesses. There are websites devoted to complaining about others and review sites where four stars instead of five can seriously damage your business. If yours is a business at risk from such threats, what steps can you take to protect it?
In other news we talk about travel and being a digital nomad, home-schooling your children on the move, keeping things sweet with the neighbours, Snapchat, Zapier, and this week’s excitement about a client visiting from America in September.
Conversation also turns to words of the week and project updates, who’s impressed us (a client writing her second book in her lunch break at her full-time day job) and there’s a recommendation for an money-saving app and a business book.
