SBBM Beginners

What is Small Business Big Magic?

SBBM is my starter group. It is the more affordable of the two groups, so often where relatively new business owners and start-ups might choose to begin with me though that is by no means a given.

Apart from your original induction call in which I get to know you and your business, everything happens within a group environment which is a friendly community of supportive like minds who encourage you alongside me. It is definitely for those who like groups, although you can dip in and out as you please, enjoying just the bits that appeal to you the most.

Who’s it for?

Start-ups. Newbies. Groupies. Women. Men. Self-employed people. Freelancers. Contractors. Business Owners. Consultants. People who want to employ themselves for money. Lovely people from all over the world including the UK, Europe, and the USA. All time zones are catered for.

How many other people are in it?

At the time of writing there are 15, though it can easily accommodate 25-30; we’ve done that before. There’s plenty of room and shared resources are simply expanded to match demand. Current clients have been with me for anything between one and four years.

What do they all do?

Their expertise includes photography, video, website making, online marketing, offline marketing, creativity, soft skills, yoga and AT, urban alchemy, meditation, SEO and hypnotherapy. They include a B&B, chiropractic and a business support group. About half of the members have the special and very lovely challenges of being a parent too!

How much does it cost?

£750 a year. And recently I’ve discovered that PayPal will offer you zero percent credit for four months if you want instalments. Check out PayPal credit. If you prefer, you can use online banking to pay my company directly, just ask.

What do you get for that?

  • A 1-2-1 personal and private induction call on Skype with me for 60 minutes.
  • A private Facebook group which is as busy as you want it to be. I’m always in there, helping, supporting and answering questions. But if you find FB draining, you don’t need to play nicely in there, you can just pop in between calls when you need something from me or the group.
  • 10 x 90 minute group drop-in calls each month (usually reduced to about 7 in December) which are recorded if you want to learn by listening to me work with others. Equally, if what you want to discuss is private, I can turn the recording off. After each call, I pop over to the Facebook Group and summarise who called in and what we discussed. You can stay and listen live, or you can queue until it’s your turn, get what you need and get off. These calls use Webex and you call in from your computer for free. The schedule is fixed and you fall into the routine of Tuesday/Thursday one week, and Monday/Wednesday/Friday the following week, all at times to suit you wherever you are in the world. If you don’t turn up, I roust you every now and again to make sure you are OK and not hiding from me!

What do clients say about SBBM?

“I’ve been an active member of the Small Business Big Magic group for only a matter of weeks, and already I am enjoying the benefits of being able to talk regularly to Judith about my business. I sometimes don’t quite know what we’ll cover when I tune in, and then the conversation just rolls. Things at the back of my mind pop to the front, and we wind up with Judith’s brilliant summaries, firm assurances and gentle nudges, like little gems I carry around with me till the next time we talk. And one of these ‘nudges’ has just resulted in me being invited as part of a publishers’ delegation to the Book Fair in Guadalajara, Mexico. Feeling thankful and unstoppable. It’s an amazing combination.” Linda Cassells,

Linda has now graduated from SBBM up to Club 100. Clients go the other way too.

What does Judith say about it?

I love this group of Little Squidgers and SBBM is a very powerful use of my time. I simply make myself available 2-3 times a week for 90 minutes each time and people drop in to speak to me whenever they have something they want to talk about. It works very well and provides fantastic support at a very affordable price. SBBM has drawn to itself a wonderful coterie of solopreneurs and nothing is off limits.
