Despite having taken all my previous books (such as they were) OFF Amazon in a fit of pique a couple of years ago because the income wasn’t worth the paperwork, last weekend I re-opened my account at KDP and uploaded Your Biz Your Way for sale there too. Now I’ve almost lost count of the number of different places and ways and formats in which you can buy all of the book, read some of it or get the first chapter for FREE. This included re-opening my Amazon Author Page. It’s not perfect, and I notice they no longer allow you to hyperlink […]
This is a photo of Jo reading my book on her Kindle. She shared the photo when she was on her travels to Australia in December. Jo bought my book at Selz where you can download it in three formats, one of which is Mobi and that’s the one you need to choose if you want to read any ebook on your Kindle device or app, not just mine! Most people who bought my book at Selz found that it magically opened on their gadget of choice “at the touch of a button” or they knew how to do what […]
I’ve done a bit of thinking around my new year’s intentions for 2014. My list isn’t final or fully formed yet but some of my goals and dreams and plans are ready to be shared. It is my intention to blog every day during 2014. That’s 365 blog posts. That’s quite a tall order. I love blogging but am sporadic. However, I have written at 750words.com every day since 1st August 2012 and that’s 519 days straight. So I am simply switching from writing on their platform to writing on my own. Should be a breeze. To this end, I […]
We are in the second week of My Life in Books on BBC2 every week day at 18.30. I’ve checked and, at the time of writing, all six episodes are still available on the iPlayer. Run, don’t walk if you love books, writers and reading. This gorgeous little programme is in celebration of World Book Day and for my money, they could make it World Book Week or Month or Year and no complaint from me. And I’ve just noticed they are re-running the whole of last year’s ten episodes starting next week too. Unmissable TV. Anne Robinson, in her […]
After a cheery week (not) when I’ve written more than once about the perils and pitfalls of UK residential property investing and ownership, here’s something which is hopefully a bit more cheery for a Friday. Via Twitter, the fount of all knowledge, I found this fabulous, arty website which the photographers amongst you will really appreciate. Its called The Burning House and if you visit, you’ll see it’s self-explanatory. What would you take with you if the house were on fire and can you take a cool photo of it and get it featured on their website? I had a go and […]
So I am going to take a whole year off. I am going to create a gap. I can't wait and I don't kid myself it will be easy. I anticipate it being just another 365 daily steps on my journey of personal development.
