Happiness, Gratitude and Surprises

Ever since I took my Wealth Dynamics test ages ago now and discovered that my profile, Creator, is 50% introvert, I’ve been exploring that part of me. It explained such a lot. It explained why I love people but when faced with them in certain ways like parties and workshops and events, I found those events and those people absolutely exhausting and totally draining, enough to start to boycott them completely. No became my answer to every invitation. I thought there was something wrong with me. I knew my 50% extrovert very well, she’s quite sociable, she’s often the life and soul […]

Creativity: 31 Days of Abundance, Day Fourteen

I have an abundance of creativity. That isn’t something I always knew about myself. Correction, it IS something I always knew about myself but it was somewhat buried until I gave myself permission to be creative. Typically accountants aren’t thought of creative, not in a way which is well connoted at least. Creativity in accounting is often taken to mean cooking the books! What helped? After I sold my accounting business and my travel agency, and started to create other business opportunities, I realised I was a starter, not a manager. And reading the E-Myth helped me understand how to […]

Ideas: 31 Days of Abundance, Day One

Today I am beginning a series of 31 consecutive blog posts on the topic of Abundance, my own personal abundance. I am having a few days off work this week so I lay in bed this morning with a notebook and pen and brainstormed a list of 31 things I enjoy in abundance in my life. I stopped at 31, though I don’t believe I would need to. I suspect if I’d kept on looking, they’d be there until infinity. Today I am abundant in ideas. As a Creator in the Wealth Dynamics profiling system, ideas are my stock-in-trade and […]

Reviews, Affiliates and Karmic Payback

I am indebted to Trevor who asked me a question on the 30DC this week which I found very provocative, in a good way. Trevor was thinking about some of the same things as me and enabled me to get my thoughts in order. Thanks, Trevor, Old Love. Here’s our starting point: “People love what I do, or at least they say they do. That’s the rub really. I get quite a lot of work from an online directory site where you list your expertise and the more reviews you get (good or bad) the higher your placing in the […]

Is There Any Profit In Your Passion? Who Cares!

I met a prospective client for the first time on Saturday. She’s a Star profile in Wealth Dynamics and she introduced that rather shyly before announcing her heart’s desire. Suffice to say that there could be no more appropriate profession for a Star – involving such words as passion, performing, acting, am-dram, singing, voice, auditions, drama school and improv. I have started to draw people like this to me. And it’s changing me. If this client had turned up in my life even a year ago I might have wondered what to do with her. Her passion was immediately obvious. How […]

A Gorgeous, Brilliant and Shiny New Idea For My Client

There’s nothing so gorgeous, brilliant and shiny for a Creator as a great new idea for my business, or for yours. And I have lots of great ideas on my own. But the best ones are those I co-create with my clients and they just come unbidden to either one of us during a call, as happened earlier today. We both found the new idea very gorgeous and spent just a few moments sighing at its beauty before using it as a stepping stone for more goodies falling effortlessly into place. I used to play the piano at school and […]

Introvert, Moi? How I Accidentally Discovered My Inner Entrepreneur

One definition for the expression “navel-gazing” is “excessive introspection, self-absorption or concentration on a single issue”. What follows may qualify on all three counts although who is to say what amount of introspection is excessive? One of the unexpected upsides of discovering my Wealth Profile was realising that I am 50% introvert where earlier in my life I had inhabited a 100% extrovert space; I had been just half of me. I have spent the last 2.5 years going inward much to the surprise, chagrin and frustration of a lot of friends and colleagues, extroverts all. I am grateful to […]

Every No Takes You Closer To A Yes: MLM, Network Marketing and Sales

In my Money-Making Magic Google Group, we have enjoyed some recent exchanges from members contemplating joining network marketing organisations.  If that’s you too, here are a couple of resources I’d recommend, all of which I have found useful in the general business context as well as MLM, network marketing and sales. The first is Robert Kiyosaki’s book The Business School: For People Who Like Helping People*. I really like the idea of MLM as a way of creating a business. In the USA MLM doesn’t have the slightly dodgy connotations we give it in the UK. Americans regard network marketing […]

Personality Profiling: Nowhere To Hide

There’s been a lively debate over the weekend in my Money-Making Magic Google Group about personality profiling. A new member but a colleague of old asked about Wealth Dynamics which I use with all my clients and we went back on forth on that one which led to discussions about the Enneagram, MBTI and a funky new test, which is free to take, about your Spiritual Personality. In Wealth Dynamics I am a Creator. In MBTI I am an ENFJ. In the Enneagram I am a 7 (although that fluctuates) And in the Spiritual Personality test, the new one, I am […]

Wealth Dynamics And The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Run, don’t walk, to see the film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and let its various pleasures wash over you. I may have to go again on the pleasure front as I was so engaged in watching the different types of Wealth Dynamics profiles on display amongst the characters. Sonny, played by gorgeous doe-eyed Dev Patel, is a Creator, your classic Entrepreneur. “Don’t trouble me with the details” is his favourite saying. Mine too.  He has a vision. Me too. He’s inherited the hotel and wants to restore it its former glory. He has no idea how he’s going to do […]
