Yup, I believe in this. Sort of. It’s Old Skool and it’s worked for me for decades.
However, I have another version now which I teach my clients and it goes like this:
- Decide what you want. Get clear about what you want.
- Get out of the way so the Big U can do her part. No meddling in the cursed hows
- Do all that you can with all that you have from where you are
Decide What You Want
This is the bit we are agreed upon and when I read this sign, shared by Ellen Whitehurst, who I like a lot, on Facebook last night, I realised that perhaps I am not quite clear enough on what I want. I know what I want, for sure. I think I’m clear. But perhaps I don’t re-state it fully enough, often enough. Perhaps it isn’t written down clearly enough, often enough.
What do you want? How do you keep in touch with that dream, that vision? Do you have pictures on your office wall? An inspiring screensaver? A journal? Write it down. Make it happen. By which I mean allow it to manifest.
Get Out Of The Way
What do you mean, Idiot Judith? Surely I’ve got to work my knickers off all day every day to get the things I want? Yes, kinda. See below. But as TUT would say, don’t meddle in the cursed hows. Not everything is down to us, no. Nobody knows the future. Nobody. Nothing is certain. So we just have to go for it but we have to also keep out of the energy of FORCE because it isn’t gentle, it isn’t allowing and it doesn’t work all that well like that indefinitely. The toll it takes is far too great.
Do All That You Can
But you still have to do your bit, for sure. What this means is that you do work, you even work hard. You work diligently and with the end goal/ultimate dream always in mind. But you also follow intuition and inspiration and you attract the help of others and you keep an eye out for synchronicities and you roll with the little miracles and you go with the flow and you trust in a partnership with the divine, your higher self, Source, whatever… and you listen to the whispers of your heart. OK, hands up. I’ll confess, this is the woo woo bit. But it works every bit as well as Work On It. Every. Single. Day. And it’s much, much easier and often scarily fast too.
Expect miracles but also turn up and do your bit. Do all that you can from where you are with what you have but always remember that you are co-creating, you don’t always know best, be open to the magic.
Now that’s one dynamite combo. You AND the Big U. Please don’t try to do it all alone with that somewhat out-dated blokey FORCE energy. It works, but my way works even better. It’s not really my way, TBH. It’s just a better way, an easier way, a magical way.
