What’s Stopping You From Having Your Dreams Come True?

I’m one for taking action – moving forward towards my goals and dreams, sometimes I get there, sometimes I don’t – usually because there’s some fear involved. Sound familiar?

If you’ve been making excuses and procrastinating rather than grasping all the opportunities that have come your way this year, I think you’ll benefit from some free exercises that I’ve created.

The exercises are for you if your ambitions, dreams and goals seem to have been waylaid by life getting in the way. It’s all too easy to let that happen, and then suddenly you’re not sure what you want any more. Try the first exercise to get clear on that.

I’m sharing three exercises in total this week, all of which will only take a few minutes of your time, but just might provide the spur you need to dust off those ambitions, desires, dreams and goals and start to work towards them again. The exercises will help you think about:

  1. What do you really want? (It may not be what you initially think you want) and what’s stopping you going for your goals?
  2. What’s your why? What is it that might drive you more purposefully towards your dreams and desires? and
  3. Who might you need to support you? And who should you make a point of avoiding as you forge ahead?

You know you need to give them a go if you’ve been allowing your wants and needs to be overtaken by busyness and caring for others; making excuses, procrastinating and doing anything but taking action; or you’ve become somewhat cowed by fear – of failure, of success, of trying.

I use these methods myself and with my clients to help take stock and get ready to really go for it. And before the Christmas scramble is a great time to give them a go.
