Today I played a fun game with myself, remember like Teach used to let us do at the end of term at school?
I ran through all my clients in both Club 100 and Small Business Big Magic and wrote down the first word which came to mind for each of them.
Do you know that game Word Association Football, where you say one word and I say the first one which comes to mind with no logic and no explaining? Yeah, well it’s like that.
I tried to make a word cloud out of these words but gave up. Best word cloud thing is Wordle and it requires Java and Java doesn’t play nicely with Chrome (and that’s not the only glitch actually) so I’m making do with a Nice List instead.
See if you recognise yourself, client or no. Which one(s) would you want to be? Do write and let me know.
Note: With four clients I cheated and gave them two words each! S’ok. I wrote the rules of this game so it’s allowed.
Of course, these are the words that I chose to describe my clients as they appear to be to me. I am sure other observers would choose different words entirely, depending on the relationship and that would often be outside the business context too.
Perhaps a more interesting game is what words you want to be able to use to describe yourself this time next year.
And you might also like to go through Susannah Conway’s process for finding your word for 2017.
Strangely, right now, I am feeling totally relaxed about 2017 and not feeling the urge to put myself through any process at all. What will be, will be. Bring it on.
